Community Outreach

GED Classes are held on Mondays and Wednesday evenings from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. for students 17 and older.

ESL (English as a Second Language) Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

On Thursdays at 1:00, a Senior Gathering provides an opportunity for housebound seniors to meet and socialize.

All residents of Turf Community Park are eligible to participate in a weekly bread giveaway on Tuesdays at 9:00 a.m.

CAPTAIN provides VITA free income tax preparation for families with incomes below $50,000. (Jan - April)

A Summer Meal Program sponsored by USDA and NYS Dept. of Education, provides free breakfasts and lunches to children, ages 1 – 18.

A Summer Reading Club is offered to elementary & middle school students by the Clifton Park/Halfmoon Library.

Grace Chapel, Clifton Park serves a Community Dinner on the 3rd Friday of each month for Park residents.

The Shenendehowa Head Start Program, based at Cheryl’s Lodge, offers both center-based and home-based programs for low-income families with young children. Call 383-5412 for more information on this program.
